RCA connector is also known as a Cinch connector or phono connector and is basically a kind of electrical connector which is generally utilized in audio/video market. The name RCA is typically derived from Radio Corporation of America that came up with the design during the early 1940s to permit phonograph players connected to amplifiers. This soon became a replacement for quite a few applications like older jack plugs used in audio world was replaced. RCA plug or phono plug is the corresponding plug and the latter one is generally confused to a phone plug that is actually a jack plug or TRS connector. The standard color is Black + Red or White + Red are combinations in stereo audio applications for RCA cables.
